📅 - Web hosting and application services provider Fusepoint Managed Services (fusepoint.com -> hostpapa.com) announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement worth more than $3 million Canadian to provide application development services to Quebec-based insurance firm La Capitale Insurance and Financial Services.
La Capitale offers group insurance products to public and private organizations, serving more than 300,000 insured clients. The new project, says Fusepoint, will enable La Capitale to upgrade its systems to better support its insurance business and increase its ability to respond to client demands.
Fusepoint will develop and implement a scalable insurance application that will deliver a secure extranet and Internet environment, facilitate online exchanges of information and standardize work processes. The solution will be built using a Java platform with an Oracle database.

"The services offered by Fusepoint will enable La Capitale to gain the necessary flexibility to adapt itself to new market circumstances and pursue its strong growth in the group insurance sector."
