DE CIX Opens Stockholm AI Exchange For Nordic Cloud Traffic
📅 - DE CIX will launch an Internet and Cloud Exchange in Stockholm in September 2026, extending its Nordic footprint into Sweden and positioning the site for AI, cloud and real-time traffic from day one. The exchange, open for orders now, gives enterprises, carriers and cloud providers another local interconnection option in the region's largest colocation market, and beyond.
The new Stockholm exchange adds Sweden to DE CIX's Nordic buildout after launches in Denmark, Norway and Finland. The company began that regional expansion in 2023 with exchanges in Esbjerg, Copenhagen, Kristiansand, Oslo and Helsinki. Stockholm now becomes the missing obvious node. Not small. Not peripheral.
