Jul, 2026 : Tata Adds India-Singapore Cable Capacity For AI Traffic

📅 July 1, 2026 - Tata Communications is adding subsea capacity between India and Singapore, acquiring fiber on a Mumbai-Singapore system and joining a Chennai-Singapore consortium expected to be ready in late 2029. The investments extend its Tata Global Network as enterprises, cloud providers and AI infrastructure buyers put more traffic onto one of Asia's most important digital routes globally right now.

The commercial logic is blunt. India wants to be treated as a major digital infrastructure hub, not just a large end-user market.
