RETN Launches Flex IX to Unite Peering and IP Transit Services
📅 - Global network provider RETN has introduced Flex IX, a new wholesale connectivity service that unifies Remote Internet Exchange (IX) access and IP Transit into a single, flexible solution. The offering aims to eliminate bandwidth waste at peering and interconnect points - a persistent inefficiency in global network operations.
According to RETN's internal research, up to 70% of capacity at major peering points remains unused because bandwidth allocated for IX traffic sits idle whenever peers are inactive.
