📅 - Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) has officially commenced construction of a new data center facility near Paris, initiating a €2.3 billion investment plan aimed at strengthening France's position in the European digital infrastructure landscape. The groundbreaking for Colt Paris 2, located on a 12.5-acre site in Villebon-sur-Yvette, marks the beginning of an ambitious rollout of five new data centers to be completed by 2031.
This new facility is the first in a trio of data centers - Colt Paris 2, 3, and 4 - planned for the Villebon site.
