📅 - IonQ has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in ID Quantique (IDQ), a global provider of quantum-secure networking and sensing, through a definitive agreement with SK Telecom and IDQ. The acquisition, which integrates IDQ's expertise and growing quantum networking business into IonQs expanding quantum ecosystem, would further strengthen IonQs position in next-generation secure communications.
IDQ operates in Geneva, Switzerland, with offices in Seoul, South Korea; Vienna, Austria; and Boston, USA.
