Milan-IX and AMS-IX Join Forces to Launch Cross-IX Service

📅 December 11, 2024 - AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) and MIX (Milan Internet Exchange) have unveiled their groundbreaking Cross-IX service, marking a significant advancement in connectivity between Europes major peering hubs. This new service allows MIX clients to establish direct connections to AMS-IX Amsterdam, offering seamless access to over 850 networks exchanging more than 14 terabits per second (Tbps) of traffic - all through a single link.

Announced during the Salotto 2024 event, which drew more than 1,300 interconnection professionals, the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to expanding peering opportunities across Europe.
