AMD Unveils 5th Gen EPYC CPUs, Boosting Server Performance for AI and Cloud




📅 - AMD has introduced its fifth-generation EPYC processors, aiming to solidify its position as a leader in the server CPU market for cloud, AI, and enterprise applications. The new AMD EPYC 9005 Series, codenamed Turin, builds on the success of previous generations by offering a top-of-the-line 192-core processor that would deliver up to 2.7 times the performance of competing products.

The processors feature the Zen 5 core architecture and are compatible with the existing SP5 platform, providing flexibility with core counts ranging from 8 to 192, which is especially relevant for dedicated server and cloud hosting environments.
