📅 - The Open Model Initiative (OMI) has been accepted into theLinux Foundationcommunity by the nonprofit organization that promotes open source technology and mass innovation. To fulfill the increasing need for open source AI solutions, the OMI seeks to promote the development and uptake of high-quality, freely licensed AI models that advance innovation.
Dedicated to training and building AI models under irreversible open licenses without deletion terms or recurrent payments for access, OMI was founded in reaction to licensing choices that create obstacles for corporate adoption.
