Jul 26, 2006 : Awecomm Moves Offices and Facility

📅 July 26, 2006 - Web hosting, design and marketing services provider Awecomm Technologies (awecomm.com) announced on Tuesday it has moved its offices and data center to 165 Kirts Boulevard, Suite 400 in Troy, Michigan. The new facility is 8,500 square feet in total space, nearly twice the size of its previous office in Southfield.

To facilitate its growing Web hosting division, the Troy office contains two class-one, raised-floor data centers, each containing precision environmental control units that regulate temperature within one degree and humidity within three percent. The facilities also include redundant Internet connections and redundant power systems that employ a battery powered UPS system and natural gas generator.

"When we decided to make the move to a location with more space, we knew immediately that having a top quality data center was our highest priority," says Awecomm president Brent Yax. "This new location has a number of great technical advantages and we're excited about how that's going to allow us to improve upon the premium hosting services that we currently provide to our customers."

The office area of the new location has been designed to be a modern workspace that inspires creativity. Jones Keena and Company was hired to design the space, which includes 18-foot loft style ceilings and some unique lighting systems.
