📅 - ColoGuard Offers IPv6 Addresses as IPv4 Addresses Are Exhausted - ColoGuard, one of New York City's top colocation providers, today weighed in on the news that the supply of all IPv4 addresses has been exhausted, and assured clients that IPv6 addresses were available at the facility, and that they had been since 2013.
On July 6, ARIN β the American Registry for Internet Numbers β announced that its IPv4 registry is depleted, and that any users or groups requiring further IPv4 addresses will have to either join its waiting list or source them from an alternative market. In the meantime, IPv6 usage will very likely see a spike in the coming months.
