📅 - A bug was discovered by GoDaddy, which led to around 9,000 SSL certificates being revoked. This was a precautionary measure taken to protect customers. The bug was allowing the certificates to be validated without a validation code.
The bug was actually introduced back in July of 2016 during a routine code update. It wasn't discovered until January 6, 2017. More than 6,000 customers have had new certificate requests submitted on their behalf.
