📅 - Earlier this year, Facebook began testing a huge, experimental drone intended to bring internet access to parts of the world currently unable to connect. The most recent test flight resulted in the drone crash landing due to “structural failure” during landing. This high-altitude drone boasts a wingspan larger than a Boeing 737 and 4 electric engines.
The test drone is the second to experience such a hiccup, with a Facebook drone exploding earlier this year and destroying a satellite. The National Transportation Safety Board is now investigating the drone accident to better determine the cause of the failure.

Symantec is responsible for products, such as the Norton line of security software for home-based PCs. The deal was reported to have cost the company $2.3 billion.

📅 - United States Very Concerned About the Russian Block of LinkedIn - After a Russian court ruled that LinkedIn had broken local data storage laws, they banned it across the country. This marked the first blocking of any social media site in the country and as of Friday, users in Russia will start to lose access. They have also threatened to block Facebook and other social media sites in the past, but haven't followed through.
