NYC’s Computer Science Program Will Teach Coding in 200+ Schools


📅 - NYC city school superintendent Carmen Fariña has unveiled plans for new computer science programs in 207 city schools. The announcement comes as part of New York City Mayor de Blasio's Computer Science for All initiative, which was first revealed back in September 2015.

The announcement came after a visit to the Brooklyn Arbor School in Williamsburg, where the school's 4th graders are already learning the basics of coding in their computer science class.
