May, 2016 : Twitter to Adjust the 140-character Limit

📅 - Twitter, a popular social network site, has decided to revise the trademark 140-character limit on “tweets”. Now, users will be able to create multimedia tweets including videos and pictures without having any impact on the characters they can sent. Before, if a user added a video or picture, it would use up most, if not all, of the 140-character limit. They will also change tweets so that the @names will not use up characters, as well.

Twitter is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was created in 2006. The company is one of the original social networks and currently has about 315 million active users. However, the company is losing users and hopes these new changes will help address the issue.
