📅 - Recently, Microsoft Cloud announced they are launching a cold storage service on the Azure cloud. This service will provide low cost storage for those not needing to access their data frequently.
Microsoft is playing catch up with competitors in the cloud space, such as Amazon and Google. Both have already rolled out cold storage solutions to the general public.
The new service from Microsoft will be called Cool Blob Storage and will run from $0.01 to $0.048 per GB per month. The price will depend on the region and the volume of data stored. .
