📅 - Today, Google announced their launch of customizeable cloud VMs that allow users to customize CPU core count and memory independently. The change comes in an effort to make public cloud services cheaper and more accessible to the public.
The service launched its Beta version back in November and reported previously-unheard of virtual CPU-to-memory ratios.

Both large US telcos are looking to sell after putting a halt to their expansions into the cloud services market.
Equinix didn't come right out and say they are trying to purchase the data centers from CenturyLink and Verizon.
