Along with the new App & Theme Store, ePages plans to expand their offerings with a premium shop for themes.
Since apps will soon run many business processes such as marketing, logistics, accounting and SEO, ePages saw this as a necessary move. The apps will be priced individually and offered in both English and local languages. .

📅 - RackHD Released by EMC under the Apache License - Recently, EMC Corporation announced the release of their open source project RackHD. This project is a platform-agnostic technology stack, which will help to solve the challenge of managing both server and network resources in data centers.
The software offers a solution for hardware management with the ability to automate some of the process. RackHD API may also be used by developers in larger orchestration systems or to create an interface for hardware management. It has been designed specifically to help accelerate deployment of applications using large amounts of commodity servers. .
📅 - OnlyDomains Bought by CentralNic Ltd. for AUS$33 Million - CentralNic Ltd., a web hosting company recently announced the purchase of domain OnlyDomains, a domain registrar. They paid AUS$33 million or $24 million US for the acquisition.
CentralNic is located in Moorgate, London, UK and provides a number of domain services including SLDs, ccTLDs and a new batch of TLDs including .xyz, .online and .site. They also offer a range of hosting services and the company is traded on the London Stock Exchange.
This marks the second domain registrar CentralNic has acquired. They also bought Internet.bs for $7.5 million in 2014.
📅 - French Prime Minister Says Country Won’t Ban Public-WiFi and Tor - The French Prime Minister Manual Valls has made it clear the country won't put a ban on public Wi-Fi and Tor. This announcement came as a part of a response to the terrorist attacks from November. The prime minister also stated that France won't force any social media providers to allow their users to be monitored, even if law enforcement requests it.
Le Monde, a French newspaper reported that the French Department of Civil Liberties and Legal Affairs wants the bans to be considered as a part of the state of emergency. The state of emergency in France will expire on February 26th. .
📅 - Custom AI Hardware will be Open Sourced from Facebook - Facebook is looking to replicate the success of the open source server design used for artificial intelligence. They plan to contribute to the efforts of the newest custom high-performance servers used in the Open Compute Project. Mark Zuckerberg said that the hardware helped to save the company over $1 billion last year.
The new AI hardware from Facebook will be powered by GPUs, which are processors built specifically for graphics. The GPUs provide a higher performance level than regular processors. .

Elastic was created in 2012 and has headquarters in both Mountain View, California and Amsterdam. They offer products, such as the Open Source Elasticsearch project, Kibana, Logstash and others.
Elastic has a backing, which includes many Venture Capitalists including Index Ventures and Benchmark Capital. With Microsoft and Elastic working together, they are able to use Elasticsearch to add new enhancements and automation with a Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) model. .
