Apr, 2015 : SparkNode Continues Cloud Expansion to West Coast

📅 - This week cloud hosting provider, SparkNode, announced its all SSD Cloud Servers are now available in Los Angeles. The introduction of California services was coupled with a new entry-level price point of just $10 for a base cloud node.

SparkNode allows customers to deploy, or “Spark Up”, a Windows or Linux cloud server within seconds. Once the cloud server is online, customers are able to manage and access the server just like a bare-metal system. The beauty of SparkNode's cloud servers is it allows customers to add more resources when they are needed with just a few mouse clicks. Additionally, SparkNode offers a fully managed cPanel option that enables proactive system management. Since Sparknode uses all flash storage each cloud server functions at an incredible speed.

“SparkNode is a superior product than what our competitors offer due to the fact it is coupled with incredible on-site support and customer service. SparkNode owns its data center and our cloud engineers are on-site. The same engineers that have built our cloud are the same engineers who work with our customers” says SparkNode's Development and Operations Manager, Barry Stetler. “Most of our competitors simply leverage someone else's data center where they colocate and if you need help you are working with a tech who is likely hundreds of miles from the gear and has never once seen it, let alone laid hands on it. Our benefit of proximity typically goes unnoticed because it results in our cloud servers being extraordinarily reliable, much more so than the competition.”

SparkNode is the cloud service arm of Hivelocity, an established Infrastructure as a Service and dedicated server hosting provider founded in 2002. Hivelocity provides services to customers from over 130 countries and introduced the SparkNode brand in 2013.
