Zayo Colocation, Inc. (zColo), a network-neutral colocation and interconnection services provider, yesterday announced the appointment of Steven Finnerty as Vice President of Sales. Finnerty will be responsible for leading the direct and indirect sales channels and spear-heading zColo's expansion into new segments and markets.
The company articulates that prior to joining it, Finnerty served since 2004 as the Regional VP, Metro Markets for Equinix (formerly Switch and Data). Finnerty has held numerous executive positions including President, US Markets for EasyLink Services, an application outsourcing and electronic commerce service provider.
"As we invest in growing and scaling our data center and interconnect business, we are pleased to bring on a seasoned industry professional. Steve's extensive knowledge and reputation in the colocation and telecom market are well matched with our growth plans and will complement our team well," said Chris Morley, President of zColo.
On his recent appointment, Finnerty said, "the tremendous growth in broadband and wireless internet traffic, as well as financial services transactions, has created significant need for data center space that can truly provide 'ultra connectivity'.
