Peer 1 Hosting, a managed hosting provider, today announced that it has named Amanda Dunn its new head of its UK channel program, which marks the company's next step of its expansion. The company says that as the head of channel, Dunn will be responsible for developing the channel program to recruit reseller partners and systems integrators across the UK. It adds that Dunn will be instrumental in pushing forward the strategy that rewards service excellence and attracts partners who "embody the Ping and People ethos" for both managed hosting, dedicated servers and cloud services.
The company articulates that earlier this year, it launched a channel sales division that brought its referral and reseller programs under one unit. In launching a dedicated channel sales division, it is able to provide better support for partners, as well as grow its channel business from the current 20 percent of revenue to 50 percent within five years.
According to it, Amanda has over 25 years of experience and knowledge within the IT industry, starting her career at Hewlett Packard as a major account manager for clients including BP, Shell, London and London Regional Transport. Prior to joining the company, she held the role of a board director at IT services provider B & M Europe. Amanda also has a significant amount of experience running channels and alliances in her role as board director at Dun & Bradstreet Software.
