📅 - Appoints Willem Hendrickx as Executive Vice President, Telecom & Media and member of Leadership Team.
Tieto Corporation, an IT service company providing IT, R&D and consulting services, today announced that Willem Hendrickx has been appointed Executive Vice President, Telecom & Media and member of its Leadership Team as of 9 August 2010. The company says that he will also be responsible for country operations concerning Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK as a part of its International business structure. The other International countries will continue to report to Pekka Viljakainen.
The company explains that Hendrickx joins it from EMC Corporation where his latest position was Senior Vice President, Global Channels. In this role, he reported to the Vice Chairman and was responsible for the execution of EMC's global go-to-market strategy for its channel business and expanding the company's marketplace beyond the enterprise customers to commercial and small-medium businesses. Hendrickx has a degree in Commercial Sciences and holds a Masters degree in Economics from the European Institute of Higher Education (EHSAL) in Brussels, Belgium. It avers that Bengt Moller, the former head of Telecom & Media will continue in the company and he will focus on driving the R&D transformation in the Telecom & media industry.
