📅 - Having completed its $30 million expansion project less than two months ago, 2008 has been a banner year of growth for Colorado data center services provider FORTRUST (FortrustDataCenter.com -> ironmountain.com) - a growth it plans to continue into the new year by adding small, medium and Fortune 500-size customers.
According to the Denver data center operator's Wednesday announcement, FORTRUST's newly expanded, high-availability colocation facility and its development of a full suite of managed services offerings helped its customer base grow 83 percent and its revenue grow 115 percent in 2008.
"We are delighted with our year-end results and expect to maintain and accelerate this momentum into 2009," FORTRUST chief executive officer Steve Knudson said in a statement. "Our success may be attributed to the top-notch team at FORTRUST and the investment we've made into our facility and systems to ensure that we offer a superior data center experience for our customers."
According to FORTRUST, its data center has reported growth in nearly every metric including financial and customer acquisition benchmarks. FORTRUST's growth is due in part to new colocation customers, however, its managed services including monitoring, management and reporting, managed data services, and managed security services have also factored into customer growth.
In October, Fortrust announced it had completed its $30 million Denver data center expansion project, bringing its total raised-floor colocation capacity to more than 48,000 square feet, and making its total investment in the facility exceed $100 million. It also now has the ability to expand its of raised-floor space in the future to 113,000 square feet, equivalent to nearly six American football fields.
FORTRUST also invested in marketing tactics in 2008, including launching a pay-per-click online campaign and unveiling a new website at www.fortrustdatacenter.com that features full-motion video tours and information about the range of customization options for colocation space.
