📅 - Data center operator and hosting provider RagingWire Enterprise Solutions (ragingwire.com👉 Total Reviews: 1 🙌 Average Rating: 8 / 10 👍 Good Reviews: 1 👎 Bad Reviews: 0 👈 Official Responses: 0 -> ntt.com) announced on Thursday it has successfully completed the SAS 70 Type II audit for the fifth consecutive year.
The SAS 70 Type II is part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act that governs data center operations and internal controls, and while it was originally intended for the financial services industry, the SAS 70 has become a high standard for evaluating outsourced data center solutions.
There are two types of SAS 70 reports. A Type II report is more exhaustive and includes the organization's description of controls, as well as detailed testing of its controls over a minimum time period of six months.
According to RagingWire's most recent announcement, the company initiated the SAS 70 Type II audit to confirm for its clients that quality control, operational practices, and hosting services meet the very latest federal requirements.
"Our clients entrust us to deliver proven processes, practices, and controls to meet highest quality and compliance standards" says Yatish Mishra, president and chief technology officer of RagingWire. "Successfully completing the Type II audit reflects our commitment to excellence and reaffirms our clients' confidence in us and the reliability, efficiency and quality we deliver."
RagingWire is the latest SAS 70 Type II audit the WHIR has reported on this month. In early October, ColoSpace announced it had completed SAS 70 Type II audits at all six of its data centers in New England, making it the largest SAS 70 compliant data center provider in the region.
And earlier this year, RagingWire subsidiary StrataScale launched its new IronScale product, a solution the company considers "the first fully-automated managed server hosting environment in the world."
