As a member of R1Soft's Hosting Partner Program, Data102 will offer the Continuous Data Protection products to its customer base of small to medium-sized businesses and enterprises.
Data protection will be available as a premium service for all managed and unmanaged dedicated servers, virtual private servers, and colocation packages.
Launched in February (http://www.thewhir.com/marketwatch/022208_R1Soft_Launches_Partner_Program.cfm), R1Soft's Hosting Partner Program enables companies to maximize sales from CDP through a range of sales and marketing resources, priority technical support and first-access to software updates.
The data recovery solutions provider has been gradually building its portfolio of partners, signing the likes of Future Hosting, NR Software Systems, Cirrus Tech, and most recently, SpiralHost.
"The data center business is all about prevention and risk management," says Travis Taylor, director of product development for Data102. "From redundant UPS power to nonconductive fire suppression, we enable businesses to prevent disasters. By adding R1Soft backups to our core offerings and integrating it into our services portfolio, we go a step further in reducing risk, saving data, and increasing peace of mind."
R1Soft says its CDP products offer round-the-clock, disk-based data protection that nearly eliminates the risk of major data loss.
The technology offers restore point intervals of just minutes, enabling administrators quick access to recover files selectively. CDP also supports data protection for active MySQL databases.
Data102 says it provides colocation and managed services, including virtualization, storage technology, clustering and now CDP.
