Rackspace hosts thescooterstore.com, a key source for new business opportunities and lead referrals. The SCOOTER Store requires continuous uptime so that its customers can shop online and communicate directly with The SCOOTER Store's mobility consultants.

Rackspace's Intensive Hosting for Enterprise Microsoft offering will provide The SCOOTER Store with advanced configuration designed for high-availability and full redundancy.

Running Windows Server 2003 on multiple HP ProLiant DL385 enterprise servers, The SCOOTER Store configuration includes a dedicated direct attached storage solution and managed backup, all monitored around the clock by Rackspace technicians.

The company's Intensive Hosting also provides managed security, performance-enhancing equipment and advanced MS SQL database services.

"Along with redundancy and reliability, The SCOOTER Store leverages Rackspace's DAS storage solution to isolate any issues the company might experience with network connectivity or any other system issues," says Glenn Reinus, senior VP of worldwide sales for Rackspace Hosting. "All their online leads are written to a database at Rackspace and a batch process is run to pull those prospects into their environment, ensuring The SCOOTER Store captures and secures lead prospect information in a manner that safeguards this crucial business information on all fronts."

Rackspace delivers hosted IT systems and computing to businesses of all sizes. The company recently filed an S-1 form with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, looking to raise money through an initial public offering of its common stock.
