Asheville, NC - April 15, 2008: Netriplex LLC, a global data center company headquartered in Asheville, NC, announced today that it has been awarded SAS 70 Type II certification by an independent CPA firm. SAS 70 is the industry recognized "gold standard" for certification of data center information technology processes. It provides customers with guarantees of security and reliability, and puts Netriplex into a very select group of data centers nationally.

"A SAS 70 audit is the authoritative benchmark by which a data center can validate its operating effectiveness. Earning Type II certification of our Asheville facility is a huge achievement and confirms our dedication to the highest standards of service for our customers," says Jonathan Hoppe, Netriplex Chief Technology Officer. "This certification proves that our data center is backed by best practices that meet the most exacting requirements of recent federal laws like Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA. Fewer than 10 percent of all datacenters nationally have attained this level, and we are proud to have accomplished it for our Asheville facility soon after our first year of operation."

The auditors, from a CPA firm which specializes in information security, closely reviewed numerous processes and controls relating to physical and network security, data security and integrity, disaster recovery, secure storage and other such operations. Every test performed by the auditors received the highest grade, confirming that Netriplex consistently maintains controls that guard its customers critical data and hosted infrastructure.

Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No.70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A SAS 70 audit validates that a service organization has completed an in-depth audit of their control objectives and activities, which include controls over information technology and related processes. The Type II audit goes beyond the Type I audit which describes the datacenter processes at a specific point in time and actually tests the effectiveness of those processes over a minimum six month period.
