Jun, 2001 : Exodus Narrows Focus, Announces New Customer
📅 - The CEO of managed Web hosting company Exodus Communications (exodus.com) said on Monday that businesses could still profit from the Internet despite the recent troubles of many dot-coms.
According to Reuters, CEO Ellen Hancock told delegates at the Supercomm 2001 technology show in Atlanta that "Businesses are not going to walk away just because an initial business didn't pan out." Hancock said Exodus' new focus was to land established companies with a proven track record as clients, as opposed to upstart dot-coms. That being said, it doesn't mean Exodus has given up on Internet businesses. For example, the company today announced that Logistics.com, Inc., a transportation procurement and management technology company, had chosen Exodus to manage their Web hosting requirements.
