📅 June 18, 2001 - Keynote Systems (keynote.com), a leader in Internet performance services designed to help companies test and monitor the quality levels of their e-business services, announced on Monday that it has made two additions to its Keynote SLA Perspective family of services, SLA Perspective Ad Network Edition and SLA Perspective Web Hosting Edition.
The company also introduced its new Service Network Accountability Program, designed to help e-businesses quickly arrange service level agreements with their ad network and Web hosting providers based on Keynote's independent performance measurement data.
According to Keynote, e-businesses are at a stage where, more than ever, they have to measure the performance of their service providers in order to ensure top quality service for their end users. These SLA services will help organizations better monitor the performance of their ad network and Web hosting providers, while helping SLAs gain acceptance in the marketplace. The company says its new services highlight its commitment to improving e-business worldwide.
"Service level agreements are good for service providers, their corporate customers and ultimately the e-business consumer. They lessen-finger pointing when service issues arise, and provide performance benchmarks for everyone to reach," says Umang Gupta, chairman and CEO of Keynote.
The company says the Keynote SLA Perspective Ad Network Edition and SLA Perspective Web Hosting Edition work to guarantee the quality of service by addressing issues specific to the services provided by these types of companies.
The Ad Network Edition lets its users assess the performance impact of including ads on a Web page, creates a comparative measurement to determine of the ad vendor is responsible for performance problems, measures a base page with and without a 10k ad and measures performance from 90 locations worldwide every 10 minutes.
The Web Hosting Edition measures the availability of the hosted servers or sites, collects availability metrics on the site, measures a base page and conducts those measurements from 90 worldwide locations every 10 minutes.
