Stream Signs Access Agreement with Everest Broadband Networks Canada
📅 - Metropolitan area network provider Stream Intelligent Networks Corp. (stream.ca) announced on Wednesday that it has formed an agreement to supply high-speed access facilities to commercial buildings served by Everest Broadband Networks Canada.
As a leading metropolitan broadband services provider, Everest delivers advanced broadband voice, data and application services to businesses set up in office buildings. Stream says it will supply high-speed access to several of the buildings Everest Canada has wired in Toronto and Montreal, which will allow Everest to quickly deliver its suite of broadband services to building tenants. The arrangement will also expand Everest's potential reach into buildings connected to Stream's fiber-optic and digital wireless network.
"Everest's advanced technology, highly creative customized solutions and aggressive growth in a conservative business environment make it an ideal strategic partner for Stream," said Steve Spooner, president of Stream Intelligent Networks.
Stream says Everest's unique metropolitan ethernet services architecture uses its metropolitan point of presence as a storefront for delivering broadband services, allowing the company to deliver its customers reliability and quality of service, dynamic bandwidth management, multiple levels of security and IP directory-enabled services, all customizable by the customer.
"Partnering with Stream allows us to fuse the in-building and fibre-to-the-building worlds in a way that leverages the best of both for our business customers," said Steven Reichmann, executive vice president and founder of Everest Broadband Networks Canada. "To maximize our potential for customer and revenue growth, Everest will eventually expand to serve enterprise customers located in Everest buildings. This will require the capability to provide on-demand provisioning, and to allocate and manage bandwidth on a customer-by-customer basis. Stream can do all of that."
