📅 - Plesk, Inc. (plesk.com), a leader in automated Web hosting software, this week announced the appointment of George C. Pappas as president and chief executive officer.
Pappas will lead a senior management team responsible for worldwidemarketing, sales, strategic alliances, product development, and services, aswell as finance and administration. In addition, he will serve as a memberof the company's board of directors.
Pappas has more than 15 years of executive-level experience spanningmultiple facets of the software industry. Most recently he served asexecutive vice president of international and strategic development forCybercash, where the company achieved seven consecutive quarters of revenuegrowth.
Pappas previously was president of NetGuard, a global Internet securityvendor for whom he launched North American operations. Prior to NetGuard,Pappas was senior vice president of sales and marketing for RelayTechnology, where he launched new products and achieved significant channelrevenue with existing product lines. He also held senior sales managementpositions earlier with Implicit Software, Software Emancipation Technology,and Bachman Information Systems.
