XO has deployed Windows 2000 across its shared and managed hosting platformto create an operating system environment designed for high availability,performance and security. XO now offers an extensive array of hostingservices based on Windows 2000, providing scalable solutions for small- andmedium-sized businesses to larger enterprises and Internet-centriccompanies.
XO says it can deliver these benefits to a wide range of customers forservices ranging from shared hosting service, that allows multiple customersto use a cluster of servers for superior uptime and reliability, up to amanaged hosting service for customers that require their own servers andhigh-performance application hosting and transaction processingcapabilities.

Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000, XO is able to offer a high level ofservice delivery through scalable automation, provisioning and maintenanceprocesses. As part of the deployment of Microsoft Windows 2000, XO hasdeveloped a network-based provisioning capability that enables real-timeupgrades and security enhancements.
This capability enables XO to continually offer the most advanced hostingservices. Windows 2000 also allows XO to offer shorter provisioning cycles,increased security and scalability, advanced load balancing and the abilityto develop applications capable of sharing data across today's heterogeneouscomputing environments.
XO's Load Balanced Advanced Server delivers a high degree of resiliency andreliability for mission-critical applications and transactions. The higherserver availability rates made possible with the deployment of Windows 2000Advanced Server enables XO to offer one of the industry's best service levelagreements of up to 99.97 percent availability.
Load balancing technologies allow for multiple servers to handle the load ofa single application for greater redundancy benefits.
