Sep, 2001 : Netegrity Mourns Loss of CFO in NYC Crash
📅 - Netegrity, Inc. (netegrity.com), regretfully confirmedthat the company's CFO, James E. Hayden, 47, was among the passengers aboardUnited Flight 175 that crashed yesterday in New York City. Hayden issurvived by his wife Gail and their two children.
Netegrity chairman and CEO Barry Bycoff made the following statement, "Ispeak on behalf of the entire company in conveying our deepest sadness atthe tragic loss of an incredible human being and friend. Our sympathies arewith his family and friends during this very difficult time."
Under Hayden's financial leadership, Netegrity has grown to become one ofthe most highly valued companies in the technology industry. Hayden wasinstrumental in establishing and executing the financial plans that resultedin Netegrity becoming one of the few companies to deliver profitableresults. Lewin, 31, co-founder and CTO ofAkamai Technologies which sells software and services to speed the Web pagedelivery, was among the passengers on American Airlines Flight 11 that washijacked en route from Boston to Los Angeles and crashed into the first ofthe World Trade Center towers.
Steven D. Jacoby, 43, COO of Alexandria, Virginia-based wireless messagingcompany Metrocall Inc. was reported among the passengers on AmericanAirlines Flight 77, which was hijacked en route from Washington to LosAngeles and crashed into the Pentagon.
