Sep 24, 2001 : ATG to Support IBM Websphere


📅 - ATG (atg.com) has announced its intention to deploy the ATG Dynamo e-Business Platform and its enterprise applications on the IBMWebSphere Application Server. With this move, ATG adds IBM to its communityof business partners in the application server market supporting ATG'sefforts to enable customers' e-business initiatives to be deployed indiverse technology environments.

The news follows the July 10, 2001 announcement of ATG as one of the firstvendors to commit to deploying its entire application suite on the market'sfive leading application servers. Through joint development efforts withthese business partners, customers will be able to build and deployapplications such as e-commerce, portals, and relationship management ontheir choice of major application servers.
"By extending our relationship with IBM to include support for WebSphere inaddition to AIX, we are in a position to provide the capabilities of ATGapplications to the greatest customer base possible," said Jeet Singh,co-founder and CEO, ATG. "The move to support IBM WebSphere has thepotential to open new markets for ATG, creating significant new revenueopportunities for the company."
As previously announced, ATG will continue to develop and support its ATGDynamo Application Server for customers who want to use the full ATG Dynamosuite to run their Websites. Taking advantage of the portability of J2EE astandard that ATG has been actively involved in helping to define, ATGintends to support all major application servers along with its own toprovide a complete solution for customers.
