Teleglobe and Ubizen to Deliver Managed Security Solutions


📅 - Teleglobe (teleglobe.com), a global communications company, announced yesterday the formation of a partnership with Ubizen (ubizen.com), an e-security solutions provider, to deploy managed security solutions whichcomplement Teleglobe's Internet Data Center security features.

Addressing the growing concern about Internet security, the partnershipoffers Teleglobe's hosting customers cost effective multiple layers ofsecurity technologies and around-the-clock surveillance by Ubizen'sinformation security experts, eliminating the need to identify, hire, trainand retain their own security experts. Teleglobe's Managed Security Servicesinclude firewall and Virtual Private Network monitoring and management,intrusion detection monitoring, vulnerability scanning and securityconsulting services. All services, provided 24x7x365 through Teleglobe's IDCOperations Center, are now also being managed through Ubizen's threeglobally dispersed Security Operations Centers in Europe and the UnitedStates.
Under the agreement, Ubizen will also make available to Teleglobe use of itssecurity intelligence lab, which collects, researches and disseminatesinformation on vendor products, viruses and vulnerabilities.
According to a recent report by Current Analysis, the managed securitymarket is emerging, with an estimated market between $100 and $250 millionand an anticipated growth rate of 50% over the coming year. The report rateslong-term prospects excellent, citing the increasing number and complexityof mission-critical services provisioned over the Web and the expansion ofonline strategies beyond the capabilities and capacities of in-house staffs.
