Oct, 2001 : RoundHeaven Adds Staff, Looks to Expand East
📅 - During a time when most organizations are looking to reduce their staffing levels and operating costs, Vancouver's RoundHeaven Communications Inc. (roundheaven.com), which just closed US$20 million of institutional funding from M/C Venture Partners this summer, is adding employees and actively seeking an eastern Canada location to expand their service offerings there.
The current economic and political climate has caused a surge in demand forcost-effective Intranet and Disaster Recovery Planning solutions, whichRoundHeaven says it can provide for a much lower cost than companies canobtain in-house. "Our unique combination of world-class engineeringexpertise and standards, service-level management, comprehensive servicesand fault-tolerant infrastructure can be offered to companies at a fractionof the cost of proprietary solutions. It also allows companies to investtheir resources in core competencies, rather than infrastructure support,"explained Dickson Au, executive vice president, strategy, RoundHeavenCommunications.
"Organizations are looking to RoundHeaven to help them lower theirinformation technology and infrastructure costs," Mr. Au said in astatement. "Our fully-managed enterprise hosting solutions offer them ascalable, reliable and cost effective alternative to in-house solutions."
To meet this growing demand, RoundHeaven is increasing its Vancouver salesand sales support staff, and has been investigating the Ontario market for asuitable location to expand its operations. "We anticipate that we will havean eastern Canadian operation by the spring of 2002. We see tremendouspotential there, and little competition for our managed hosting solutions."
