WellStar Selects Interliant to Enable Virtual Healthcare Community

(interliant.com), an application service provider, announced today that WellStar Health System (wellstar.org), acommunity-owned and operated network of hospitals and healthcare facilities,has selected Interliant's INIT Managed Hosting to provide dedicated serverhosting. The hosting solution supports WellStar's Web infrastructure,hardware, and maintenance.

The WellStar site is housed in one of Interliant's data centers, withround-the-clock monitoring and management, and hosted on a Dell dedicatedserver with SQL 7. Through its Web site, WellStar interacts with communitymembers on a daily basis by posting on-line support groups, answers tohealth-related questions, and physician and hospital locations. In thefuture, WellStar plans to add interactive physician chats and online classesto its Web site. The INIT solution is designed to remain flexible throughthese types of transitions.
