Dec, 2001 : Verso Releases Multi-Customer Reporting for Shared VoIP

(verso.com), an integratedswitching solutions company, yesterday that its Telemate.Net SoftwareDivision has released Telemate 5.0, which the company is calling theindustry's first converged reporting solution to support multi-customerreporting for shared VoIP infrastructures.
Telemate's 5.0 reporting solution enables Cisco's CiscoWorks Voice Managerto provide carriers and large enterprises with individual call accountingreports, by network or customer group. By enabling multi-customer support ona single VoIP network, Verso's solution will help deliver critical billingand reporting information to their customers. Building on an agreementestablished between Cisco Systems and Telemate.Net in March of 2000, CVM isCisco's second generation network performance management tool usingTelemate.Net's patented technology.
In September of this year, Telemate.Net announced that it had been awarded apatent from the United States Patent Office for its converged voice and dataresource management technology, which is driving its VoIP reportingsolution. The solution collects detailed user information from multiple IPand circuit-switched network resources and maps the converged information toa directory of users where individual telecom costs can be assigned.Additionally, new Web-based reporting tools simplify the critical task ofdata distribution and bill presentation. With a Web browser, users canaccess online tools that assist in creating and viewing real-time usagereports online. Telemate 5.0 provides over 200 out-of-the-box reports andincludes functionality that enables users to create custom reports that helpmeasure and manage network resource usage and quality of service.
