Feb, 2002 : Q4i Awards EDS Hosting and Storage Contract

📅 February 6, 2002 - EDS (eds.com) and Q4i (q4i.com) announced yesterday afive-year, $15 million agreement for EDS to provide Q4i with a full suite ofWeb hosting and managed storage services.

Under terms of the agreement, EDS will host Q4i's Broker IQ, the company'sproprietary financial services management system, from its Plano, Texas andSacramento, California facilities. EDS will provide Web hosting, managedstorage and midrange hosting services designed to add performance,scalability and reliability to Broker IQ, enabling Q4i to help medium andsmall financial services firms apply digital technologies to their onlineservices, including online brokerage services.
Delivered through a leveraged application service provider model, Broker IQprovides financial services to retail brokerage and financial services firmsenabling them to compete with large institutions without bearing significantup front capital investment, the company says.
