Feb, 2002 : Equant Becomes First ENXv2 Certified Service Provider
📅 - Equant (equant.com) has become the first service provider toachieve certification for the European Network Exchange (enxo.com), the company said today. This enables Equant to connect customers to ENXv2, thehigh bandwidth network that connects the automotive industry with itssupplier-base worldwide. The certification contract was signed between theENX Association and France Telecom, on behalf of its subsidiary, Equant.
ENX was established by the European automotive industry to enable closercollaboration between automotive manufacturers and their worldwide supplychain. The network is driven by user demand for efficient and securedcommunications, backed by comprehensive service level agreements.
"By establishing ENX, we constructed a uniform pan-European communicationplatform," said Ralf von der Burg, managing director of the ENX Association."ENX enables optimized business processes, accelerating the automotive OEMsextensive and continuous process chains."
The Equant ENXv2 service is based on Equant IP-VPN, running over Equant'sMPLS core. Equant's ENXv2 service will initially be available across Europewith further expansion planned for later this year once service levelparameters have been adapted to support connections beyond Europe.
