Plesk Announces New Spanish Language Support and Partnership

📅 April 11, 2002 - Plesk Inc., (plesk.com) which provides hosting automation solutions for Web hosts, today announced the availability of Spanish language and customer support for its popular Plesk Server Administrator.

The company said that hosting firms currently using PSA will now be able to target a much wider audience, as Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the United States, and the fourth most widely spoken language in the world. A single copy of PSA can now support Spanish, English, and other language users.
"PSA users can now provide native language support to 330 million new customers worldwide" said George Pappas, president and CEO of Plesk. "Spanish is the first of many new languages that will be implemented in Plesk's unique language architecture to support the Global marketplace enabled by the Internet."
Plesk also announced an additional partnership with Grupo Interdominios S.A., a European hosting firm based in Madrid, Spain, to provide Spanish language email customer support to customers.
Plesk Server Administrator is currently in use to manage 600,000 domains for hosting companies in over 80 countries worldwide.

📅 Apr 12, 2002 - Q1 Sales Flat for Juniper Networks - Internet equipment manufacturer Juniper Networks (juniper.net) said yesterday that the telecom downturn took a large toll on the company's sales during the first quarter of its fiscal year. Net revenues decreased 63% from the same period a year ago, falling from more than $330 million to $122 million. 📅 Apr 12, 2002 - Microsoft Releases Critical IIS Patch - Microsoft Corp. (microsoft.com), announced on Wednesday that it has released a cumulative patch for its Internet Information Server that fixes more than ten holes in the Web server software, including several critical patches for vulnerabilities that could allow a hacker to take complete control of a machine. The announcement recommends that anybody hosting Web servers using Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP install the new patch, which Microsoft says fixes all previously identified IIS security vulnerabilities, as well as 10 new ones. According to Microsoft, the company has not yet had reports of any attempts to take advantage of the exploits.
