Oct, 2002 : Verizon Launches Web Design, Hosting Tools

📅 October 25, 2002 - Internet service provider Verizon Online (verizon.net) announced this week that it has introduced a set of Web site tools designed to help businesses design, build and maintain their own unique Web sites.

Verizon says its new Web site tools can save businesses money, and will allow them to update their sites without the need for any programming knowledge, and without being charged for each update.
"The Internet is a powerful way for small businesses to increase their visibility, extend their reach to new customers and easily sell their products or services," said Anthony Price, vice president, Verizon Advanced Services. "Our new Web site packages offer small businesses several advantages over other Web site services, such as an easy way to customize their site and the ability to do their own updates at their convenience, at no extra charge. Best of all, Verizon will host the site and run it 24x7, freeing up small-business owners to focus on doing what they do best."
Verizon Online says it also offers packages for business interested in selling products or scheduling appointments online. And customers requiring help with designing their sites can use Verizon Online's professional Web designers to help build their sites.
