Jun 20, 2007 : Comodo Releases BOClean v.4.24

📅 June 20, 2007 - IT security solutions provider Comodo (comodo.com) announced on Tuesday that it is releasing an update of BOClean, version 4.24.


BOClean is offered for free and has two additions, including the fact that it now operates on a wide range of Windows-based platforms like Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista. BOClean also now has a button marked "rollback" which permits the user to revert to the previous BOClean update in the event of a defective download.

Other key features are that it can be deployed on single computer or over a network and can be customized for any network or institutional situation, it is designed to complement traditional anti-virus solutions by checking executable files just before they run and it consults its database of 278,000 malware signatures, which equates to nearly 2 million malware variants, and instantly kills a process if malware is detected.

BOClean is an anti-malware solution that provides unbeatable protection because it detects, shuts down, and removes any malware that may slip past other installed security precautions such as firewalls, says Comodo.
