Jan 6, 2003 : MSPAlliance Continues Work of SSAC
📅 - MSP industry advocate group the MSPAlliance (mspalliance.com) announced on Monday that it is extending services and benefits to members of the Strategic Sourcing Advisory Council (SSAC).
The MSPAlliance says it is committed to promoting the industry standards adopted by the SSAC and the ongoing definition of service management standards, and will continue to provide a strong voice for the service provider community when the SSAC ceases operations shortly.
"We are pleased that the MSPAlliance has come forward to continue the work begun by the SSAC membership," says Carolyn Holden, executive director of the SSAC. "The MSPAlliance has long been an effective resource for the MSP community and a dedicated ally for the SSAC. They only enhance their value to outsourcers with this commitment to industry best practices. We are glad to have them continue service to our membership."
The new focus on industry standards, says the MSPAlliance, will require the formation of an advisory board of industry leaders and experts. The board's focus will include the promotion of ITIL standards and service management practices.
"The SSAC performed a valuable service to the outsourcing industry," says Charles Weaver, president of the MSPAlliance. "It is only natural that the MSPAlliance continue to serve the outsourcing community by carrying on the work of the SSAC and helping the industry achieve success."
