I hosted with winhost too and found out that they advertised unlimited domains when they meant a single domain with multiple domain pointers. Their responses were unsatisfactory and it seems from this post their rebuttals are the same - 'I dont know' ... which ticket I was talking about but they say they respond within 2 hours - they did not.
Customers can host multiple domains/websites within one hosting plan if you want. We offer Unlimited Domain Pointers so you can add as many domains as you want for your Site through your customer control panel, and you have full control to programmatically redirect your additional domains to whatever subdirectory you want. You can set the subdirectory as its own Application Starting Point using the Application Starting Point in your control panel.
We have hundreds of cusotmers that are successfully hosting multiple domains/web sites within one hosting plan.
However, there are some disadvantages to hosting websites in this manner. All your domains are in one shared application pool, your don't get separate stats for each domain, you only get email alias service for the domain pointers, and you don't get the full set of tools for each domain.
Alternatively, if you want the full scope of all the tools and isolation for each domain (i.e. email services for each domain name, web stats for each domain name, each domain name hosted in its own isolated application pool, etc), then you can sign up each domain name as a Basic, Max or Ultimate hosting plan through your control panel.
