VPSServer negative review #55921 by -anonymous- on Jul 2021
VPSServer got a negative review on
-anonymous- ( -no email- )
Initially, when registering on their website, they seem to require nothing unusual and the advertising temptingly promises 7 days of free trial use. But after providing them with the mailbox address and providing the credit card details they require, it turned out that this was not enough. And after the already passed stages of choosing an os, a tariff plan and credit card details, it turned out that this was not enough, and at the next step, without explaining the reasons (supposedly something was wrong with my ip), they began to demand an Government ID and an included camera. This is just a mockery and a waste of time, I will never use services with this company again ...
This message suddenly informs that I still need to send them a selfie and a passport photo:
""We require additional information
We require you to verify your identity before we can approve your account. This is based on an automated process, that calculates the possibility of fraud using a large number of variables, like previous behavior on your IP address. This verification process can be completed by scanning the QR code below with your smart phone. You can use a camera app or a custom QR code app for this. In order to accept your account we require you to verify your identity. This can be done by scanning the QR code below.
The QR code below will lead you to a url to verify your identification. This website will require the access to your front and back camera, to make a photo of your identification document and to make a selfie.""
I don’t even know what other requirements will be hidden in the further steps of registration, I decided to stop wasting time there and choose a more transparent and understandable service.
