ViaStreaming support is horrible

I signed up for their ViaDJ +Shoutcast server 50 Slots at 128 bitrate, 2,000 mb of storage for $38. On their page they tout "browser based drag and drop" functionality which was appealing to me because I didn't care to use FTP. Once I got the service together I started to look for drag and drop functionality and saw that it was NOT there. They told me I must use FTP for their uploads only and they have scrapped the browser based drag and drop functionality...

I reluctantly tried to make it work even though the WHOLE reason I signed up for them was to skip FTP and the potential problems it had. In the beginning of the support phase, they told me how I should approach using FTP on their server and I was a bit confused, as expected. Then once I understood, my files were not showing up on my server. I contacted Support and they told me that I needed to do a "force" and that I did not understand what I was doing. They told me what method I should take for uploading, which I followed to the letter of the law, but it still resulted in a FAILURE on the server end every time. My files were being uploaded and space was being taken away, but not showing up on the web interface.

I contacted them about the issues and they STOPPED answering. I gave them 4 days to respond until I finally asked them for a refund on a Customer Service ticket, which they did not respond to. I tried to open up a "CHAT" with them numerous times resulting in them ignoring me before I decided to open up a claim with PayPal on my product being "not as described" in an attempt to receive my money back.

PayPal gave them an allotted time to respond to my claim and THEY DID NOT RESPOND to PayPal either! PayPal refunded my money due to them not participating in the resolution process and I'm happy and fortunate to get my money back.

Their customer service and support is the bottom of the barrel. The "LIVE CHAT" is a joke. They will respond to your chat HOURS after you initiate the chat applet. It is absolutely ridiculous. Normally I don't spend this much time writing a review on something if it was a bad product, but this is a HORRIBLE product and they've left a sour taste in my mouth. If you're thinking about using them, do yourself a favor and look into some other options and check the support staff. If you have problems with a product like this, it's good to know you can depend on someone who will answer you in a timely manner. If there was a way to rank them using negative integers I would do so.

Oh and I wish they would try to respond to this with lies, because I do have screencaps of the support thread and screencaps from the PayPal resolution process and I do NOT mind posting them in the open for people to understand what kind of time lapses they gave in not responding to me OR to PayPal. On top of that, they did not even offer an apology for the way they handled the situation.

STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY.

Good luck, potential users of a service like this. Seek other sites.
