I started hosting with GoRack.NET in 2015. They were awesome. Cooling was consistent, reliable and never failed. Network was stellar and I never had any issues on their side. I had one patch failure on my part that resulted in me needing to be onsite at 800 Water. Flawless service.
Then GoRack.NET was acquired by SBA Edge. Initally, no issues. Then they relocated my machine to 421 Church and the problems began. The machine mysteriously lost power but came back up. I started seeing network flap. Then they decided to jack the price of power. I decided to terminate and pull my machine but was told "your contract auto-renewed last month and you have to pay for the whole year" Only problem is that I never had a auto-renew clause in my GoRack contract. It was in the SBA MSA that I had never signed. But none the less I decided that I would keep the machine there for the term. Then last month the machine had a hardware issue. I initially attributed it to normal hardware mortality, you know, stuff breaks. I decided that I would just pay off the term and pull the box rather than repair and make 3x300 mile round trips to get it return it, and pull it for good. So a couple of days I went to pick it up. This is when It became totally obvious what the cause of the failure was. Yeah, they have Liebert glycol or whatever, but they have 125 degree hot aisles, and 90+ degree "cold" aisles. My machine was racked up well above my head where it was roasted due to lack of airflow. This is not a place where you want your equipment.
