These guys are great if you're looking for cheap hosting. However their customer support is absolutely terrible.
First run-in I had was that one of our apps ran out of memory and I couldn't SSH in. I requested 30 minutes notice prior to a reset, and gave them a config snippet to edit so the app didn't start up. Not only did they not follow my instructions, they restarted the VPS without notifying us and we lost data.
Second, disk access is ridiculous. It takes 5 seconds to save a 5KB file. I submitted a ticket, to which they replied:
"Thank you for contacting support.
Please provide us below details.
- Vps main ip
- ssh port
- root password
So that we can check it further."
I provided them with the login details, and also submitted some debugging stuff (indicating that there are not many processes running and that the CPU was idle). To which they replied:
"Thank you for contacting support.
Please provide us below details.
- Vps main ip
- ssh port
- root password
So that we can check it further."
Absolutely useless.
Features - average. You can't restart the VPS by yourself, you need to submit a support ticket. Also no console access. The Ubuntu image that I booted up did not have locales configured correctly and the system log wasn't working because the configuration was invalid.
As for price, you really can't beat it, but you also get what you pay for.
If you're looking for a filestore, I would absolutely recommend them because they are cheap, traffic is plentiful and a good fast network connection, however if you want to run more than a simple web server, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
