For one of our transactions, we needed a 96GB dedicated server to run some services on for a client. For the actual dedicated, we were not making significant amounts of profit.
So, after two months of negotiation and discussion of back-and-forth between the client and us, we ready to get started. We had negotiated, at long last, a large business deal, part of which was based on a 96GB dedicated server with many more to come in the future.
We purchased and paid for the server with WireSix and received their invoice.
Then, they sent us the following message:
"Please note that the pricing on our marketing team had incorrectly linked the pricing objects on our site for this server... At the pricing of this system currently it would be delivered with 32GB of ram."
Needless to say, we were quite distressed. We replied, pointing out that in their own Terms of Service, they are "obligated" to provide the service described on their website.
They blatantly ignored this statement. They issued a refund, not even bothering to respond for a request for the cost covering the employee time negotiating the business deal. To top it off, they closed the support ticket.
Absolutely horrid experience. Would not recommend. There are other hosts out there, with good pricing, good support, no such BS. Look elsewhere for any of your server needs. [import from wiresix.com]
